When a customer of that bank receives it he might think it’s a real one and read it. It looks so real that sometimes you might think that this is from the actual bank.
There will be a link in the e mail to go to some website. This link will ask your account details and passwords and it will be looking real as the bank web site. When you enter the data, it will directly go to the hackers. That is why it is advisable to always check the link with Google before proceeding. It can give some idea to you.
There software downloads available in many sites. Most of them will be free also. Many of these sites will be giving you fake and spyware programs while downloading. It will be better to go the developers web site directly or download it from trusted ones like download.com.
Never use the same password for all the sites. Reason for that is if one of your passwords get hacked, you will loose all the logins because they are the same. It will be difficult to remember many passwords. But at least change few letters with each one to be in the safer side.
